G. Frederick Schroeder, CFA, President and Chief Investment Officer

Mr. Schroeder is President and Chief Investment Officer of Schroeder Capital Management, LLC, in Lafayette, California.  The company was formed in 2002 with the purchase of the private client business of Van Kasper Advisers, an affiliate of Wells Fargo Securities, LLC, in San Francisco.  Schroeder Capital Management, LLC, provides custom tailored investment counsel to private individuals and institutions throughout the United States.    Mr. Schroeder had been Senior Managing Director, Chief Investment Officer, and Chairman of the Investment Committee of Van Kasper Advisers, prior to its sale to Schroeder Capital Management, LLC.  He was responsible for all domestic and international separate account portfolio management, investment strategy, research, and marketing.  Previously, Mr. Schroeder was Senior Portfolio Manager and Senior Vice President of Templeton Portfolio Advisory, a division of Templeton Worldwide, where he directed all investment activities of the company’s $2 billion Private Client Group in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, including global separate account portfolio management, research and investment strategy. Prior to Templeton, Mr. Schroeder was Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Transamerica Investment Services, San Francisco, and Senior Investment Analyst at ITT Hartford in Hartford, Connecticut.  Mr. Schroeder has over 30 years experience managing portfolios, formulating investment strategies, conducting fundamental research, and marketing. Mr. Schroeder is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).  A graduate of the San Jose State University School of Business, he is an SEC registered investment advisor (RIA), and holds various NASD licenses.  Schroeder is also a member of the CFA Institute, and the Financial Analyst Societies of New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
